The Bibliothèque Sorbonne Nouvelle provides a two hours training intended for international students, in order to foster their integration and their academic achievements in the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle. This training session is given in French.
This training is optional, but highly recommended. It is open to all international students (“Erasmus+” programme and international programme) without any regards concerning their level or discipline.
The training includes :
- a guided visit within the BSN library to present its different collections, areas and services,
- a classroom tutorial that deals with the BSN library catalogue, the main databases and eResources as well as information retrieval technique.
A presentation is scheduled during the welcome meeting for international students organized by the Direction des Affaires Internationales on Monday, September 5, 2022.

Main objectives of the training
The aim of this training is to teach students information retrieval technique to provide them with information literacy skills. In that perspective, the training will present :
- an overview of the items located in the BSN library
- search tools
- databases and eResources
- SUDOC (système universitaire de documentation)
- PEB : inter-library loan
In the following table, choose a date and click on “S’inscrire à la formation”.
All the training sessions will take place in the building A, second floor, room A201 at Nation Campus. Fill in the form and confirm. You will see the following message : “Votre demande d’inscription à la formation a bien été enregistrée” and will receive a confirmation email in your institutional email account.
